Description:
The Interior Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of aircraft interior components to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with aviation regulations. This role supports aircraft readiness by maintaining cabin interiors to airline and regulatory standards.
What you will be responsible for :
Inspect, repair, and replace aircraft interior components including seats, seat tracks, galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, sidewalls, flooring, and cabin panels.
Perform interior modifications and refurbishments per engineering drawings and work orders.
Troubleshoot and correct interior defects, cosmetic damage, and operational issues.
Install and maintain cabin safety equipment such as seat belts, life vests, emergency lighting, and placards.
Ensure all work complies with FAA/EASA regulations, airline maintenance manuals, and quality standards.
Accurately document maintenance actions in aircraft logbooks and maintenance tracking systems.
Coordinate with maintenance control, quality assurance, and engineering teams.
Maintain proper use of tools, equipment, and materials while following safety procedures.
Support aircraft turnarounds, scheduled checks, and unscheduled maintenance events.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
All other duties as assigned.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
FAA Airframe (A) certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
Minimum 1-3 years of aircraft interior maintenance experience (airline or MRO environment preferred).
Knowledge of aircraft interior systems and materials (composites, laminates, upholstery, plastics).
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and task cards.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
