Hiring Millwright Mechanics
*Job Description: The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment in grain processing facilities. A thorough working knowledge of mechanics and proficiency in using industrial tools such as drills, power saws, cutting torches, grinders, welders, and measuring equipment are required. Regular inspection of machinery to predict and prevent mechanical failure is also a key responsibility.
*Responsibilities
Work in a crew of 2-5 millwrights.
Perform stick welds in the field.
Conduct work on commercial agricultural buildings, including new construction, remodels, expansions, and repairs.
Inspect machinery regularly to predict and prevent mechanical failures.
*Essential Skills
1-2 years of experience as a millwright.
1-2 years of stick welding experience.
Ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
Not afraid of heights.
*Additional Skills & Qualifications
Skills in construction, welding, electrical troubleshooting, and blueprint reading.
Experience with MIG welding, TIG welding, structural welding, and working with grain bins.

*Work Environment: Millwrights often work outdoors and may encounter extreme temperatures. The role involves considerable manual labor, including bending and lifting. The typical workweek averages 40 hours, extending to 45-50 hours during harvest season. Work hours are from 7am to 5pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Employees drive to the shop daily and depart to job sites from there.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
