NOW HIRING: Fiber Splicing Technicians (8 Openings) - Douglasville, GA
Shift: First Shift (Mon-Sat)
Mon-Thu: 10-12 hours
Fri-Sat: 8 hours
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Fiber Splicing Technicians (Level II and above) to join our team in Douglasville, GA. Candidates must have hands-on splicing experience-entry-level cable pullers or Tech I candidates will not be considered. This role supports critical data center infrastructure work within a fast-paced, technology‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fiber splicing with precision and consistency
Pull, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling according to TIA/EIA standards
Begin RJ45 and patch panel terminations with guidance
Assist with labeling and cable identification
Perform basic telecom punch‑downs
Support cable testing using tools such as Fluke or EXFO under supervision
Learn and assist with fiber cable dressing and handling
Follow all safety protocols and maintain an organized work area
Work closely with sr technicians and supervisors to complete project tasks
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience with termination and punch‑down work
Proven structured cabling experience - Level II Technician or higher
Must not have worked in this specific data center within the last 6 months
OSHA 10 certification required prior to start date
Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders up to 20 feet, and work in confined spaces
Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, push, pull, and use tools for extended periods
Must maintain regular, on-time attendance
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
Telecommunications experience
Structured cabling
General cable installation
Work Environment
This role works primarily within indoor business office and construction environments. Candidates must be comfortable:
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or climbing throughout the day
Using hand tools and computer equipment
Working around moderate noise levels
Occasionally traveling within the region as needed

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
