Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Preconstruction

• Assist with concept development for design-build projects
• Review project plans, specifications, and contracts
• Develop timelines, budgets, and preconstruction schedules
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and design teams
• Secure permits and coordinate preconstruction activities

Construction Management

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and SCB crews with field operations
• Maintain schedules, track progress, and mitigate delays
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, codes, and specifications

Financial Oversight

• Monitor project budgets, costs, and change orders
• Review and approve pay applications
• Prepare financial reports and provide accurate forecasting

Client & Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as the main contact for clients and consultants
• Conduct site visits and status meetings
• Communicate proactively to manage expectations

Risk & Safety Management

• Collaborate with field teams to uphold OSHA and SCB safety standards
• Identify and resolve safety risks promptly

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor assistant project managers and field staff
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional growth

Sense of Urgency

• Proactively drive schedules and project decisions to ensure timely completion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 3+ years managing commercial construction projects
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and industry standards
• Proficient in project management software (Sage, Procore, MS Project, Buildertrend, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
• Excellent communication, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel to job sites and work extended hours as needed
• Must live within approximately one hour of Covington, GA; occasional overnight travel for surrounding states may be required
