WESTERN PUMP Inc is seeking experienced Construction Foremen to lead field operations on petroleum fueling systems, automotive service equipment installations, and mission-critical mechanical infrastructure projects. This is not a routine foreman role it is a leadership position in a highly regulated, safety-driven environment where precision, accountability, and professionalism matter.
As the on-site field leader, you will be responsible for crew supervision, schedule execution, safety enforcement, inspection readiness, quality control, and client interface. You will protect safety, margin, schedule, and company reputation while delivering complex installations for commercial, industrial, and government clients.

Lead and coordinate 310 person field crews (installers, operators, subcontractors)
Assign tasks and manage manpower to maintain schedule and productivity targets Conduct daily safety meetings and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
Hold crews accountable while maintaining team cohesion
Maintain professionalism under GC, client, and inspector pressure
Underground & Aboveground Storage Tanks (UST/AST)
Fuel piping systems (flexible, FRP, rigid steel)
Class I Division 1 & 2 electrical conduit and dispenser coordination
Vapor recovery and emissions systems
Monitoring and leak detection systems
Automotive lifts and shop equipment
Concrete saw cutting, trenching, trench restoration, and equipment anchoring
Work aligns with blueprints and specifications
Manufacturer requirements are followed
Pre-backfill inspections are scheduled and passed
Proper slope, torque specs, and anchoring standards are met
Enforce OSHA standards (OSHA 30 required)
Ensure compliance with SWRCB, AQMD, Fire Marshal, building department, and environmental regulations
Oversee confined space entry procedures and hot work permits
Document testing (pressure, hydro, line testing)
Maintain strict PPE enforcement and safety documentation
Inspect workmanship and correct deficiencies immediately
Verify proper installation of shear valves, spill containment, and piping pitch
Maintain high standards to ensure first-pass inspections
Serve as primary field contact for GCs, inspectors, and owner representatives
Communicate field conditions and schedule impacts professionally
Represent WESTERN PUMP with integrity and accountability
Complete daily field reports
Track labor hours, equipment usage, and materials
Document change orders and field directives
Photograph critical installation phases
Maintain organized documentation for regulatory compliance
Minimum 5 years of experience in petroleum, mechanical, heavy civil, or specialty construction
3+ years in a Foreman or supervisory role
Strong blueprint reading and layout capability
OSHA 30 Certification
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to lead in high-pressure, regulated environments
715 years of industry experience
UST/AST installation experience
Confined Space Certification
HAZWOPER Certification
SWRCB or ICC certifications
CDL (Commercial Drivers License)
Outdoor work in high heat conditions
Exposure to construction environments and fuel vapors
Lifting 5075 lbs
Climbing ladders and entering excavations
Extended standing and walking
Leads by example
