Job Title: Utility Locator
Job Description
As a Utility Locator, you will correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems. This role requires a thorough search for underground utilities in designated areas, with accurate marking, documentation, and photographic evidence for each locate. These positions are daytime, full-time roles with overtime requirements.
Responsibilities
Accurately locate and mark underground utilities.
Complete necessary documentation and photograph each locate.
Work within a 48-hour turnaround time for most locates.
Essential Skills
Experience in telecommunication, OSP, construction, and utility locating.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Proficiency in computer use.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Ability to pass a drug screen for safety-sensitive positions.
Possession of a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Ability to work in confined spaces, walk, and bend.
Capability to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark utilities.
Skill in reading, understanding, and referencing locate tickets, maps, and prints.
Effective communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
