The Service Manager will be responsible for providing tactical and strategic level management and leadership to field service professionals at a larger site The Service Manager is accountable for managing and leading service operations and field-based service teams to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality service outcomes. Evoqua: High Purity Water Systems - installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of advanced water treatment systems used in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, healthcare, dialysis, and light industrial applications. This role supports Reverse Osmosis (RO), water softeners, carbon pretreatment, and Service Deionization (SDI / ST‑108‑type portable DI tank systems) to ensure continuous delivery of high‑quality water that meets customer and regulatory requirements.
This role has direct responsibility for people leadership, operational execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance within an assigned branch or territory. The Service Manager ensures alignment with company policies, safety standards, and business objectives while supporting the installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and service of advanced water treatment systems across regulated and industrial markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Management
Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily service operations including scheduling, routing, and prioritization of work.
Monitor service order execution to ensure timeliness, quality, documentation accuracy, and billing readiness.
Drive operational efficiency, utilization, and service effectiveness in alignment with defined performance targets.
People Management
Provide direct leadership to service technicians and engineers, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and development.
Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, ride-alongs, and performance reviews to support engagement and capability development.
Support workforce planning, on-call coverage, and succession readiness.
Safety, Quality, and Compliance
Establish and maintain a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EH&S, corporate and customer requirements.
Ensure completion of required safety training, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
Maintain oversight of system integrity, water quality, and regulatory compliance.
Customer and Commercial Support
Serve as an escalation point for customer issues and ensure effective resolution.
Partner with Sales and Cross-Functional Support teams to collaborate on quotes, job execution, account reviews, service contract renewals, and growth initiatives.
Support service-generated leads and ensure appropriate commercial handoff.
Financial and Asset Management
Manage labor efficiency, overtime, and expenses within approved budgets.
Oversee inventory accuracy, fleet readiness, tools, equipment, and calibration programs.
Ensure accurate labor and parts usage, billing integrity, and margin protection.
Scope and Complexity
The Service Manager operates with moderate to high autonomy within established policies and procedures. This role manages multiple priorities across people, operations, and customers, and exercises judgment in resolving operational, personnel, and customer-related issues.
Technical Environment
Service operations support advanced water treatment technologies including Reverse Osmosis (RO), water softeners, carbon pretreatment systems, and Service Deionization (SDI), including ST‑108-type portable DI water tank systems. Customer environments include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, healthcare, dialysis, and light industrial applications.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience leading teams in service, operations, or technical environments.
Working knowledge of service operations, safety, and compliance requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively across levels and functions.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000, annual bonus target 10%. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
