Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd shift Direct Hire
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing all duties and responsibilities required. The role involves completing maintenance functions for building machinery, mechanical equipment, and physical structures without supervision. The candidate will offer recommendations for improved methods or alternatives and instruct other maintenance department personnel on proper procedures.

Responsibilities
Perform all duties and responsibilities required of Maintenance Mechanics "B".
Initially responsible for machine guarding throughout the facility and making repairs or upgrades to machinery or equipment in manufacturing or printing departments.
Demonstrate considerable mechanical ability and wire welding experience, with a preference for TIG welding.
Complete maintenance functions for building machinery, mechanical equipment, and physical structure without supervision.
Make or recommend repairs or parts replacement following regular mechanical inspections and consult on improved methods or alternatives.
Assist other maintenance mechanics and coordinate with personnel on projects such as moving machinery and installing new and existing lines.
Clean work area, machines, and equipment, and return unused materials and supplies to storage.
Perform maintenance work on various items including production lines, punch presses, body makers, injection molding presses, chutes, conveyors, lithograph presses, coaters, ovens, and compressors.
Properly use and understand mechanic's tools and equipment, calipers, gauges, micrometers, engineering drawings, power fork lift truck, and machine shop equipment.
Monitor building and equipment for proper safety and inform supervision of any unsafe conditions that cannot be corrected.
Push, pull, or lift heavy objects up to approximately 60lbs.
May be required to work late evening, early morning, or other unscheduled hours for emergency repairs.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
Preventive maintenance and hand tool expertise.
Mechanical and electrical experience.
Press maintenance experience.
Installation, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 3-phase systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Considerable mechanical ability and wire welding experience (TIG desired).
Experience with machine guarding from repair to fabricating new guarding.

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
