Job Title: Electrical Field Engineer
Job Description
The Field Service Engineer will support automated equipment as it is deployed to customers. The role requires frequent travel to customer sites to oversee machinery installations, perform debugging, and ensure successful equipment startup. Training customers on machinery operation and maintenance is also a key part of the role.
Responsibilities
Travel to customer sites for machinery installs and debugging approximately three weeks per month.
Perform software (PLC) and machinery debugging and startup on-site.
Train customers on machinery operation and maintenance.
Coordinate with customers and the home office as needed.
Provide remote customer support over the phone when not traveling.
Deliver excellent customer service through strong communication and presentation skills.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and Debugging.
Strong understanding of Electrical Systems and Pneumatics.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC.
Ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively.
1-5 years of experience with machinery troubleshooting and debugging, including control panels and electrical circuitry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2-year degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field.
MUST Be a citizen and able to rent a car and travel via plane.
Work Environment
The Electrical Field Engineer can reside anywhere in the US, provided they are within 45 minutes of a major airport for travel purposes.
The position involves 75% travel, predominantly domestic, with potential international travel to the Netherlands, Canada, and Mexico after a few years.
Work in the field typically spans 3-4 days per week with 10-hour days, averaging around 50 hours a week.
Remote troubleshooting support is required when not in the field, working off of EST hours.
Participation in a rotation for 24/7 customer support is expected once or twice a year.
Initial training is conducted at the Louisville facility for approximately six months, with housing and transportation provided.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
They have a company profit bonus program (up to 8% annually) and offer tons of growth opportunity. This position offers advancement tracks in Field Service, Technical Customer Service, and Engineering. 2 weeks of vacation 5 PTO days accrued after 6 months 8 holidays 401K match after 12 months, 4.5% on 6 % contribution.
