Motor Rewind Technician - flexible day shift hours - up to $30 an hour
Job Description
We are looking for a Motor Rewind Technician who will maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures. The role involves completing required quality assurance procedures for each repair job and assisting in rewinding AC/DC motors, coils, armatures, stators, and other electro-mechanical components under supervision. You will operate specialized equipment for stripping, winding, and testing as trained, and adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards in all work performed. Participation in continued training programs to support technical and professional development is expected.
Responsibilities
Build, lead, and manage a team of field service technicians by providing guidance, training, and support.
Schedule and allocate tasks to team members based on skill set and project requirements.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customers' industrial equipment.
Ensure all service activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for field service operations.
Perform and supervise tasks related to alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding field service issues and inquiries.
Address and resolve client complaints and service-related issues promptly.
Provide technical support and expertise to field service technicians, customers, and peers.
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Conduct technical training sessions for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Implement and manage vibration monitoring routes to detect and diagnose equipment issues proactively.
Plan and oversee field service projects from initiation to completion.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.
Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, service reports, and inventory logs.
Prepare and present regular reports on field service performance and metrics.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience as a field service or industrial maintenance technician.
2+ years in a leadership role.
2+ years of technical knowledge of industrial equipment and systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using field service management software and tools.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Work Environment
The work environment is indoors. Working hours are from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some flexibility. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a t-shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
