Position Summary
We are currently recruiting for a long term contract to hire Construction Manager in the Seattle market. Position will a oordination with municipalities and regulatory agencies, including experience working within Seattle Right-of-Way (ROW) permitting and construction requirements.
Essential Job Functions
•Provide construction expertise and guidance to program, project, and district management teams on all aspects of telecommunications construction.
•Participate in vendor sourcing, qualification, and selection, ensuring vendors meet project scope, schedule, safety, and quality expectations.
•Manage vendor relationships and performance, holding contractors accountable to project deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
•Attend deployment meetings and planning sessions as the construction subject matter expert.
•Develop and maintain professional relationships with project stakeholders including engineering teams, municipalities, utilities, and field contractors.
•Conduct regular field visits during all phases of construction including bid walks, pre-construction meetings, construction progress inspections, punch walks, and project closeout.
•Provide field direction and coordination to contractors performing civil work, fiber installation, node construction, and equipment installation.
•Oversee small cell/node deployments, DAS infrastructure builds, and associated fiber network construction
•Ensure all construction work complies with company construction standards, engineering drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
•Review and interpret construction drawings, RF designs, fiber plans, and civil plans to verify accurate project execution and resolve field issues.
•Coordinate Seattle ROW construction activities, including compliance with municipal requirements, permit conditions, and traffic control regulations.
•Understand prevailing construction costs and negotiate vendor pricing within approved project scope and budget.
•Identify and resolve field issues that may impact project schedule, cost, or quality while communicating risks to project leadership.
•Ensure all project documentation, construction records, and closeout packages are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
•Maintain project status and documentation within project tracking systems.
•Serve as a safety and quality representative during field visits, ensuring compliance with company safety programs, OSHA regulations, and workmanship standards.
Education / Certifications
•High School Diploma or equivalent required
•Valid driver’s license required
Preferred certifications may include:
•OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
•First Aid / CPR
Experience / Minimum Requirements
•3–5+ years of telecommunications or wireless construction experience
•Experience managing small cell, node deployment, and DAS infrastructure projects
•Experience coordinating construction within Seattle Right-of-Way (ROW) environments
•Experience with vendor management and contractor oversight
•Knowledge of Outside Plant (OSP) fiber construction methods, including aerial and underground installation
•Familiarity with RF and fiber testing equipment such as OTDR, power meters, sweep testing, and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing
•Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, OSHA, and local municipal construction standards
