We are seeking several Installation & Cable Technicians to support ongoing low-voltage and telecommunications projects across Iowa and other states. This role involves both indoor and outdoor work at schools, apartment buildings, and other commercial locations. While some experience is required, candidates with 6+ months of low-voltage exposure or hands-on technical training are encouraged to apply. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain experience and grow within the telecommunications/networking field. Travel may be required; per diem is provided.
Key Responsibilities
Install Cat5/Cat6 cabling, COAX, faceplates, data racks, and network cabinets
Perform punchdowns, terminations, testing, and labeling
Assist with installing DirecTV boxes, modems, and satellite dishes
Support server closet build-outs and general network infrastructure setup
Work both indoors and outdoors, including occasional trenching or directional drilling
Follow instructions from project leads and work as part of a field installation team
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 6 months of low-voltage experience, or hands-on technical school training
Experience with:
CAT5/CAT6 installation
Punchdowns and terminations
Dressing and organizing cable
Ability to work in labor-intensive settings, indoors and outdoors
Reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to advance in the telecommunications field
Preferred Experience
Installing TV dishes or similar satellite equipment
Prior exposure to commercial installation environments

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
