We are seeking an experienced Cable Technician to support commercial and residential installation projects. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience installing, routing, and troubleshooting low‑voltage cabling, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely in active environments.
Responsibilities
Install, pull, and route low‑voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, fiber)
Terminate Cat6 cable
Mount, label, and test cabling according to industry standards
Build and dress network racks, pathways, J‑hooks, and cable trays
Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and scope of work documents
Diagnose and repair cable faults, connectivity issues, and signal problems
Use testing equipment (Fluke, light meters, TDRs) to verify performance
Work safely on ladders, lifts, and in both finished and construction environments
Communicate progress and issues to supervisors and project managers
Qualifications
1+ years of experience as a Cable Technician or in structured cabling
Strong knowledge of copper and fiber installation and termination standards
Ability to use hand and power tools related to low‑voltage installation
OSHA 30 and SST (preferred for NYC projects)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various site conditions
Reliable transportation and the ability to work full‑time
Schedule
Full‑time with potential overtime depending on project needs.

Competitive and based on experience.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
