Job Description
We are seeking mechanically inclined individuals to join our team at a data center in Des Moines, IA. As a Data Center Cable Technician, you will work with blueprints and utilize hand and power tools to assemble and mount cable trays, build server racks, and pull fiber optic cable. Daily tasks include scanning inventory, unpacking materials, assembling server racks, installing servers and switches, and running fiber cabling.
Responsibilities
Assemble and mount cable trays and server racks using blueprints and project documentation
Pull, route, and dress fiber optic cable from point A to point B
Install servers, switches, and related equipment
Scan inventory and unpack materials
Maintain organization, quality, and safety standards on-site
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on construction or industrial job sites
Mechanical aptitude with 6 months to 1 year of experience
Ability to read and follow blueprints
Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail
Problem-solving abilities and comfort working in fast-paced environments
Additional Skills & Preferred Qualifications
Experience in structured cabling or construction (any trade)
Self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude
Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
Ability to distinguish different colors and hear audible safety signals
Willingness to travel within the regional territory, as needed
Work Environment
Fully on-site position in Des Moines, IA
Active construction site environment
Assembly-line-style setting for server rack build-out
Required PPE includes steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM (five 10-hour shifts)
Occasional Saturdays may be required based on project needs

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
