Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager, Inspectors, or Superintendents to support current and upcoming federal construction projects nationwide.
These roles serve as the owner’s on-site representatives, ensuring projects meet all contractual, technical, and safety requirements while maintaining open communication with contractors, engineers, and agency partners.

What You’ll Do:
• Conduct daily field inspections to verify construction quality, progress, and compliance with drawings/specifications.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports, monitor daily site activities, and ensure installations comply with contract documents.
• Attend and document coordination and quality meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
• Review and comment on contractor schedules, submittals, RFIs, testing reports, and change orders.
• Maintain organized inspection logs, test records, and detailed photo documentation.
• Identify and track non-conformance issues and verify corrective actions.
• Monitor field activities for compliance with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 safety standards.
• Support cost and schedule evaluations and validate contractor pay applications.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve field challenges efficiently.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation to support project reporting and performance metrics.

What You’ll Need:
• Authorization to work in the United States (CSS does not provide sponsorship).
• 5+ years of construction experience and/or a 4-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field with commensurate experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting federal or public-sector construction projects preferred (experience with USACE, USCG, NASA, NPS, or GSA)
• Prior background as a Construction Superintendent, QA/QC Manager, or Inspector strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills—must be able to document, report, and interact professionally with clients and field teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software such as Procore, RMS, or eCMS.
• Willingness to travel and perform on-site inspections (outdoor work, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs).
