Field Service Technician - based in Corpus Christi, TX (preferred)
Project Timeline: March-April 2026
We are supporting a large-scale retail hardware refresh across multiple South Texas locations. We prefer to hire two technicians based in Corpus Christi to work together as a two-person team on all of the below locations. This project includes guaranteed hours, paid travel time (after 50 miles), mileage reimbursement (after 50 miles), and a step-by-step installation playbook.
Pay Rate
Role Overview
Technicians will remove legacy payment devices and install updated units following provided documentation. Work includes cable management, connection verification, testing, photo documentation, and required register-level documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Remove existing payment hardware and install new PIN pad units
Verify cable connections and confirm device functionality
Maintain clean cable routing and eliminate slack or hazards
Use approved cable-management materials
Perform test transactions with the Manager on Duty
Complete verification forms for each register
Capture and upload required documentation and photos
Follow detailed step-by-step installation instructions
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience as a Level 2 PC Technician or equivalent
Hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and support experience
Ability to follow detailed written instructions
Cable-management experience preferred
Payment hardware experience is a plus
Professional appearance and communication skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

If travel exceeds one hour from home and service is scheduled for multiple locations on the same day, hotel accommodations will be provided
Per diem may be expensed for approved overnight stays
Technician responsible for incidental hotel charges

Must pass a 7‑year lived background check (no employment/education verification)
Must complete all required project training modules
Must complete I‑9 documentation
Must meet all compliance requirements at least 10 business days before starting

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
