Job Summary
The Inside Plant (ISP) Technician supports data center and low‑voltage infrastructure by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cabling, hardware, and connectivity inside controlled facilities. This role requires hands‑on technical ability, strict adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work in fast‑paced, mission‑critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Install, label, dress, and patch copper and fiber cabling within data center and ISP environments
Perform hardware installation and support, including racks, cabinets, patch panels, and network equipment
Follow detailed work orders, site procedures, and documentation requirements
Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas
Adhere to all safety, security, and access control policies
Support troubleshooting efforts and escalate issues as needed
Required Qualifications
Experience in ISP, data center, or low‑voltage environments (entry‑level to mid‑level)
Hands‑on experience with labeling, porting, dressing, and patching
Familiarity with hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Comfortable working extended shifts, weekends, or overtime if required
Ability to pass drug screen and BGC
Preferred Qualifications
Prior data center experience
Fiber and copper cabling exposure
Understanding of basic networking or infrastructure concepts
OSHA, safety, or site‑specific certifications
Work Environment
Indoor data center / controlled facility
Standing, bending, lifting, and ladder use required
Fast‑paced, team‑oriented, and security‑focused environment
Schedule & Compensation
Shift: Varies (1st, 2nd, or nights depending on project)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
