About the Role

We are seeking motivated Low Voltage Cabling Technicians to support commercial projects throughout the Connecticut market. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting structured cabling and low-voltage systems in commercial environments.

✅ Connecticut Low Voltage License (T2 or C6) is strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Install, pull, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 voice and data cabling

• Build and dress telecom closets (racks, patch panels, cable management)

• Route and secure cabling using J-hooks, cable tray, conduit, and ladder rack

• Label and document cabling per project standards

• Assist with or install AV, CCTV, access control, and other low-voltage systems

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and site plans

• Troubleshoot cabling issues and perform service work as needed

• Work safely on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites

• Collaborate with senior technicians and project managers to meet deadlines

✅ Required / Preferred Qualifications

• Low Voltage License (T2 or C6) - Preferred, not required

• 6+ months of experience in low voltage, cabling, telecom, electrical, or construction

• Entry-level candidates with trade school or hands-on experience welcome

• Familiarity with hand and power tools (punchdown tools, crimpers, drills, testers)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn

⭐ Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with structured cabling, fiber, AV, CCTV, or access control

• OSHA 10/30 or industry certifications (BICSI, CTS, etc.)

• Prior commercial construction experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Meriden, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
