Position Overview:
Under the general direction of the VP of Construction, the Construction Coordinator will be responsible for document control for Redwood Construction Company (RCC). The Construction Coordinator will manage Construction timelines, handle change orders and support training efforts for RCC. They will be responsible for managing construction schedules, supporting fleet operations and updating the Construction SharePoint site for the team. As such, you will be expected to act as a Redwood brand ambassador, promote our brand and provide the best resident experience possible. All Redwood employees are expected to conduct all organizational business and practices in accordance with Redwood company policies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the VP of Construction and all other team member within the department on construction initiatives.Manage, create, and update vendor scopes of work and phase-based vendor check lists as delegated by the Director of Construction Training.Provide hands-on support for Redwood’s vertical construction training program by coordinating logistics, materials, communication, and day-to-day execution, including occasional facilitation of training sessions, in partnership with the Director of Construction Training.Coordinate the rollout of best practices across Redwood Construction Company.Create, maintain, and report on the Redwood Construction Company performance dashboard.Manage work timelines to ensure neighborhoods achieve Redwood Ready status prior to first Certificate of Occupancy (CO).Oversee communication flow for contractor change order requests on special projects.Create change orders, secure approvals, and obtain required signatures for special projects.Manage and update the Redwood Ready schedule for new and existing neighborhoods.Schedule and coordinate training sessions for field teams and home office staff.Prepare agendas and record minutes for biweekly Director of Construction meetings and quarterly Redwood Construction Company team meetings.Distribute meeting notes and upload documentation to the Construction SharePoint site.Maintain organized filing systems for all related documentation.Partner with the Redwood Fleet team to support company vehicle management.Monitor and maintain Erosion and Sediment (E&S) aging issues.Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred In lieu of a degree, 2–4 years of construction experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to use standard office equipment such as computers, desk phones, cell phones, photocopiers, etc. Must be able to navigate stairs occasionally, particularly in the event of elevator outages or during emergency situations. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, stand, bend, and walk with the ability to lift 30 pounds occasionally.
Attendance and Scheduling:
Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential for success in this role, and employees must adhere to set start times and assigned schedules. Occasional travel may be required for team outings, training sessions, or company-sponsored events, estimated at less than 5% annually. Work Environment:
Job is performed in a professional office environment. Exposure to varying indoor temperatures depending on location in the building and season. Combination of natural daylight and standard office lighting throughout the workspace. Movement across multiple flooring types, including tile, carpet, and other transitions. An open workspace layout, defined by a shared space without traditional enclosed offices or high-walled cubicles, may introduce distractions or reduce privacy. Possibility of shared desk spaces.
