Lead Low Voltage Fire Alarm/Access Control Technician – Fire Alarm and Access Control Systems San Antonio TX

Responsibilities: 

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label fire alarm cable 

• Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment 

• Terminate fire alarm panels and devices 

• Read and interpret fire alarm and access control system layouts from blueprints 

• Troubleshoot and service existing fire alarm and access control systems 

• Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights) 

• Install and support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites (schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, etc.) 

Requirements: 

• 5+ years demonstrated work history/knowledge in Fire Alarm Systems 

• Understanding of NEC and NFPA requirements (current codes) 

• Experience troubleshooting panels, devices, and programming systems (Edwards, Silent Knight, FireLite, etc. a plus) 
• Experience installing access control and CCTV devices

• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus 

• Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots) 

• Willingness to travel to job sites within Texas as needed
