Hiring Cable Technicians (Level 1 & Level 2) - $20-$25/hr | Austin, TX6‑Month Contract → Opportunity to Convert to Permanent!

Join a growing team supporting major commercial projects across the Austin area! We're hiring motivated Cable Technicians at both entry and mid-level who want hands-on experience with structured cabling, network infrastructure, and large‑scale build-outs.

Roles AvailableLevel 1 Technicians

• 0-1 years of experience

• $20-$21/hr depending on experience

• Great for entry-level candidates wanting to break into structured cabling

Level 2 Technicians

• 1+ years of cabling experience

• $22-$25/hr depending on experience

• Ideal for techs who can work more independently and handle advanced tasks

What You'll Be Doing

• Pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5/6 and fiber

• Installing cabling infrastructure: racks, cabinets, pathways, server room hardware

• Reviewing job documentation (floor plans, elevations, cable schedules)

• Supporting large commercial construction sites

• Using power tools and working in various physical positions (standing, climbing, kneeling, etc.)

• Lifting up to 50 lbs and working indoors/outdoors as needed

Required Tools & Gear

PPE Required:

• Hard hat with chin strap

• Safety glasses

• Steel-toe boots

• Safety vest

Level 2 Techs Must Also Have:

Tool pouch, punchdown tool, snips, screwdriver set, level, measuring tape, pliers, and similar low-voltage hand tools.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation

• Must pass a driving background check

• Positive attitude & strong communication skills

• Ability to work safely on active construction sites

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
