Job Summary
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple residential homebuilding
projects simultaneously. This role serves as the on-site representative in all matters
involving subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and customers. The Construction Manager
ensures each home is built according to company standards, on time, on budget, and in
compliance with all codes and regulations. Success in this role is measured by the ability to
drive quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction across all assigned builds.

Essential Responsibilities

Review building permits and construction files for accuracy and feasibility.
Prepare construction folders, redline plans, and monitor budgets and schedules using ITK or other scheduling tools.
Coordinate all on-site activities, including site prep, trailer/utilities setup, tool and equipment needs, signage, and security.
Direct and supervise subcontractors; monitor quality, cycle times, VPOs, and compliance with safety and company standards.
Provide regular updates and input into strategic construction planning and operations.
Allocate labor and materials; schedule and coordinate resources to meet production timelines.
Conduct regular inspections; ensure all work passes city and third-party inspections.
Complete punch lists and address any outstanding issues prior to closing.
Enforce safety standards and ensure all work complies with OSHA and local building codes.
Walk every room of every active home daily.
Maintain clean, safe, and secure job sites; report and resolve any hazards or compliance concerns.
Ensure attendance at all required team meetings, events, and after-hours communications as needed.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance internal and external experiences.
Maintain regular, punctual attendance and professional communication.
Additional Duties
Perform other related tasks or special projects as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years of residential construction experience as a Construction Manager, Builder, or Superintendent
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
OR
Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience necessary to perform the essential functions
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Experience with online construction scheduling software and project management tools
2+ years of supervisory experience in residential construction

Conditions of Employment

Possess a valid Texas driver's license within 30 days of employment.
Tools & Equipment Used
iPad, smartphone, laptop, and related office technology.
Required use of protective safety equipment (e.g., hard hats, gloves, goggles, boots).
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Outdoor work in all weather conditions; exposure to construction environments and job site noise.
Must be able to travel to nearby job sites; reliable personal transportation is required.
Must be able to:
Stand and/or sit for extended periods.
Lift, carry, or adjust materials up to 25 lbs.
Perform physical activities including bending, climbing, squatting, and twisting.
Communicate effectively via hearing and speech; perform tasks requiring close vision.
Work Schedule & Travel
Standard work hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours per week).
Occasional after-hours calls or extended hours may be required.
Occasional travel is required for job site visits, company events, or team collaboration
Participation in team meetings or company events outside of normal work hours is expected.
AND
Must be willing and able to travel to job sites across the DFW metroplex
Reliable transportation is required
