TEKsystems is seeking an entry‑level Cabling Technician who has recently completed a Low Voltage trade school program and is eager to grow their career in the structured cabling industry. This role will support large‑scale commercial construction projects and requires hands‑on work installing and terminating network cabling infrastructure. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety‑focused, and willing to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pull, terminate, and test Cat5/Cat6 and fiber optic cables
Terminate keystone‑style jacks and perform basic cable testing
Assist with cable installation on large commercial construction sites
Install and support cabling infrastructure, including:
Network racks
Cabinets
Cable pathways
Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms and telecom closets
Review and interpret job documentation, including:
Floor plans and equipment locations
Reflected ceiling plans
Conduit call‑outs
Wall elevations
Signal flow diagrams
Cable pull schedules
Follow safety standards and project guidelines at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate of an electrical trade school or similar experience
Strong interest in building a long‑term career in the cabling industry
Ability to pull cable and perform physical labor in construction environments
Must have or be able to obtain OSHA 10 Certification
Reliable transportation to job sites
Must pass a driving check
Ability to follow instructions, read plans, and work as part of a team

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
