Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and oversee company and project safety programs and accident prevention initiatives
Conduct regular jobsite inspections and hazard assessments, documenting findings and corrective actions
Develop, organize, and facilitate safety training programs to meet company and regulatory standards
Support project leadership in completing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for major work phases
Participate in regulatory agency inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with OSHA and state regulations
Lead safety meetings and training sessions, ensuring clear communication among employees
Coach and mentor employees exhibiting unsafe behaviors; recognize and reinforce safe work practices
Support project leadership in incident investigations and corrective action plan development
Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs through field walks and audits, recommending improvements as needed
Assist in jobsite-specific safety orientations for new employees
Requirements:
Proven experience as a safety supervisor or in a related role, preferably in construction or industrial environments
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and federal/state safety requirements
Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate safety programs
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Relevant safety certifications preferred (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHST, HAZWOPER)
Proficiency in documenting inspections, audits, and safety reports
Must have basic PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
