Your Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Supervisor for John Deere Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA you will...
Supervise skilled trades employees. Along with administer the John Deere / UAW contract in regard to the skilled trades work force. Additional responsibilities include:
Planning and scheduling of SAP generated work orders for skilled trades
Work order management to meet department objectives and goals
Direct and coordinate continuous improvement plans and activities
Develop plans for preventative maintenance (PM's) of equipment to maximize the uptime and utilization of equipment assets
Implement, monitor, and present safety programs
Coordinate and maintain 5S activities associated with maintenance department
Work in a team environment developing, monitoring, and improving maintenance processes
Interface with Engineering on technical issues

What Skills You Need
Strong communicator, both verbal and written
Strong Facilitation skills
Technical knowledge of Maintenance functions in a machining environment (mechanical, electrical or heat & vent)
2 years of experience planning, estimating, and scheduling work
1 or more years of SAP experience
What Makes You Stand Out
1 or more years of experience in a leadership role in a union environment
Experience as an industrial mechanic or electrician
Experience with industrial automation
Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience with general industrial standards
Experience with preventative maintenance planning and scheduling
2 years of project management
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
