How You Will Make an Impact

• Prepare, install, and bed critical underground pipes for storm, water, and sewer systems according to civil utility plans.

• Set up pipe lasers, shoot grades, and perform precise calculations to ensure all installations meet strict project requirements.

• Execute pipe runs ranging from 4 to 72 inches in diameter at depths reaching up to 25 feet.

• Maintain rigorous safety standards by properly installing trench boxes and managing work within confined spaces.

• Coordinate effectively with surveyors to interpret grade stakes and survey points for accurate layout execution.

• Facilitate the movement, loading, and unloading of construction materials to keep the jobsite operating at peak efficiency.

• Ensure all pipe installations successfully pass mandated TV and pressure testing through meticulous attention to detail.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil construction.

• Proven ability to read and evaluate civil utility plans and grade stakes.

• Practical experience in pipe laying, including cutting, layout, and checking slopes for conformance.

• Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment.

• Reliable source of transportation to commute to various project locations.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow complex technical instructions.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 3 or more years of experience specifically within a civil pipe crew.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Current First Aid training and Confined Space/Competent Person certifications.

• Demonstrated proficiency in setting up lasers and calculating grades independently.
